Winter Night Shelter Support Volunteers Needed

We are heading into a busy winter and expecting to be supporting many homeless people. Sadly, due to the pandemic we will not be able do that in the usual way through the Winter Night Shelter.

We will be working closely with Reigate and Banstead Borough Council to help people into private accommodation as well as running an extended daytime Drop-In.

Become a Special Support volunteer

We are appealing for 10-20 special volunteers who will provide support to guests by taking them to accommodation and working closely with the staff team to help them weigh up their options and sustain a tenancy.

You will need a driving licence and the role will be subject to a DBS check. Training will be provided. If you’d be interested in this type of role, please get in touch for more information | 01737 886997

We are hoping to extend the hours of Drop-In at the Chapel to offer a late breakfast, hot meal at lunch and a sandwich parcel to take away in late afternoon. This is all dependent on the number of volunteers we have as we need two shifts working in bubbles. The weekend sessions and Foodbank will continue throughout, working with our partners to reach many needy families and individuals.

We would be grateful for any financial donations, gifts of food for both the Drop-In and Foodbank and good quality or new clothing (especially for men). Please contact us in advance for a list of our immediate needs.

Thank you for your ongoing support and prayers
