Refreshing Church – Lay Conference 2019

Saturday 14 September 10am – 4pm
St. Bede’s School, Carlton Rd, RH1 2LQ

A day for lay people

who want to see their church energised and growing;
who want a spring in their step on their journey of faith;
who want to see others encounter the rich love of God.

This conference gathers lay people from across the parishes of the Croydon Episcopal Area to reflect on what it means for God to refresh their church. The day will include:

A key note address from Paula Gooder, theologian and
Chancellor of St Paul’s Cathedral, who will speak about church
in the New Testament.

Workshops where smaller groups explore how God can renew
the way we live as Christians – in churches, as individuals and
as people who live in a changing world.

Joyful worship and prayer with a large group of fellow-

Refreshments and a light lunch, included in the ticket price.

A closing address from Bishop Christopher, who will inspire us
to walk, welcome and grow as the people of God in South
London and East Surrey.
